There is always somewhere else.

Elsewhere is an independently operated travel-discovery journal based in Albania, currently run by an individual rather than a registered company. It is built around a simple idea: the world is bigger than its most famous landmarks. We love the celebrated cities, but we also want to make room for the small towns, mountain villages, overlooked neighborhoods and beautiful detours that deserve a closer look.

Beyond the obvious

Our atlas connects countries with cities, coastlines, historic places and lesser-known stops. We aim to help readers discover where to go next and how to explore with curiosity and care.

How we create our guides

Our destination pages combine introductory editorial research, practical planning suggestions and links to further information. Not every listing is a fully researched field guide. We do not claim that our editors have personally visited every destination, and we encourage readers to confirm opening times, transport, access and safety advice with official local sources before traveling.

Photographs and community voices

We aim to use photographs that accurately represent each place and to credit their creators according to applicable licenses. Where visitor reviews are available, submissions are moderated before appearing publicly; reviews are individual opinions, not verified travel endorsements.

Independence and transparency
