A note about cookies.

Last updated: 5 November 2026. This notice describes the technologies identified on Elsewhere Travel today. It will be updated before advertising is enabled.

What we use

Saved destinations, trip-planning notes, comparison choices and a local page-visit counter use browser local storage. Local storage is not a cookie, but it persists on your device until cleared. The counter measures visits within that browser, not total website traffic. Cloudflare Web Analytics loads on site pages for usage measurement, while Cloudflare Pages provides hosting and related security functions. We have not completed an independent browser-by-browser cookie and storage inventory.

External services

Some pages request photographs from external image hosts and tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile service. Those requests can send IP addresses and browser details to the providers. Contact messages are transmitted to Formspree only when submitted. Supabase credentials are configured for a possible review feature, but an active public review form was not found in the inspected site. These providers' own services may involve cookies or other technologies; we have not independently verified every third-party storage behavior.

How to manage storage

Clear this site's local storage or cookies using your browser's privacy settings. Browser privacy controls and extensions may block analytics or external image and map requests. Blocking storage can prevent saved trips, notes and comparisons from being retained. There is no site-wide cookie-preferences panel at present.

Advertising and consent

Google AdSense is not active on this website and no advertising consent panel has been implemented. Before enabling ads, the operator must inventory data collection, determine which technologies require prior consent, and implement an operational consent mechanism where required. Google's publisher rules require a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework for ads served to users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. A policy notice alone does not record consent or provide a way to withdraw it. Any consent obligations relating to currently loaded analytics or external services also require independent review.
